Arguably the most significant changes ever made to the Corvette. The biggest question is which changes were the biggest.

From the aerodynamic changes in style to the independent rear suspension, the changes in the Corvette could not have been more radical. Without a doubt the most talked about and novel idea of the Corvette was the reverse rotational flip up headlights, which would remain a Corvette feature until the 2005 models.

The 1963 model Corvette was the first year for a coupé with its distinctive split rear window and non-functioning hood vents as well as an independent rear suspension. Unfortunately the split rear window was discontinued in 1964 due to safety concerns and because they made the design too busy, the hood vents were cut as well. 1967 was the last year the Sting Ray name was used.
